Today was a great day for therapy, and a wonderful day for family! Dave seemed a lot more confident getting in and out of bed today. He is a lot stronger than he was the day we came here, which has only been 3 full days. After his OT and PT said goodbye for the weekend, Dave wanted to get back in his wheelchair and we took a stroll around the floor. I am not able to touch the chair at all, so this was all his doing. It made me so happy and so proud. I can't wait to see how he does this weekend knowing that his therapists will not be here to make him work. One of the two wound vacs on his arm was removed today. The arm had healed so much just since we saw it on Tuesday evening. His wrist still needs the wound vac, but it looked so much better. Hopefully tomorrow he will get the cortis port removed from his chest and the antibiotics will be stopped except by mouth. Every day another thing removed which is only making him more comfortable. Life is good! God has really blessed us today.
