I guess it is a good thing when I really do not have anything to add, right? Another day of intense physical therapy. He has of course already mastered the wheel chair, which I am not sure how you can do with one arm and one foot, but apparently your foot does the steering. He made an extra loop around the floor. Now granted he was a little pale when it was over, and he slept for the next hour. He is still not sleeping at night. He just can't seem to turn his mind off. Dave has always been one of those people that falls asleep five minutes after his head hits the pillow. They even tried Ambien last night. He slept for about 2 hrs. then he was up the rest of the night. When he woke up I got up to check on him, and all of his cover was on the floor, which is hard for him to do with one hand. It really worried me that he might have been turning into Michael Kennedy (I think it was Michael), and thought he could go for a drive! Tonight we have completely darkened the room and he is trying a new sleeping pill. Hopefully we will have success. His body needs sleep to heal, plus if he sleeps then that means I sleep:)
He did ask me tonight to make sure you all know how much he appreciates all of your love and support. Today is almost over and that means another day closer to him healing. We just have to keep our eye on the prize.
