After everything Dave has been through today he had to have an ingrown toenail removed that had become infected. We still have to worry about infection in his arm and leg so they had to remove the entire nail. He went through 5 hrs. of severe pain. After taking pain meds by mouth twice they finally gave him an injection and he is off in dreamland. I guess it is a good thing to be hooked up to morphine like he was through the first 8 days in ICU because the pain he experienced today was worse than any he has had. I'm glad it is the weekend because hopefully he will be ready for rehab by Monday.
