April 22, 2010

Well let's start with the a.m. - 400 ft., and then as if that wasn't enough this afternoon 420 ft.! Now granted he was sweating profusely, and he looked a little beat up. He had to go in and out of bed a little more, but he still went downstairs with me to the cafeteria this afternoon. I love it when we go to the cafeteria or to the postal area because if you are not on the rehab floor you really do not know the rehab rule, "DO NOT HELP"! We can see everyone slowly start to look at us, then they look at me with this aggravated look on their face, and it never fails one of the employees will come up to Dave and ask if he needs any help pushing his wheelchair. Even after he tells them no thank you, I see this little disgusted glance my way. At least we know the entire hospital staff is just as wonderful as our floor, it's just the other floors are not run by what some might believe is the Military!
